![]() Would you care to-in simple English-as I'm a novice in this area, simply mention all of the specific features each of the two editions contain. My 3: Sorry, I don't know what VST and SFX refer to. The "Standard Edition" registration has all Master's Edition features except for VST plugin support and the SFX Library. Features include VST plugin support (Windows) and the SFX Library. NCH 2: The "Master's Edition" registration gives you a single unrestricted license to install WavePad on a single computer. Without that information I have no idea which to buy. My 2: Please elaborate the details of the specific features of the two versions you have for purchase, "Master's Edition" versus "Standard Edition". Abbreviated summary of my experience attempting to discover the proper version for my needs: My 1 What features I would be getting by version, please? NCH 1 At this moment, this program is only freely offered on a limited-trial, which can be used for 14-days, but in order to continue using it beyond the trial period, you will need to purchase through this link. However, 3 stars off for their disingenuous business model (see my ending remark below), incorrect website info, and employees wasting my time and their own, thereby harming their company's bottom line. ![]() Would have given 4-5 stars for NCH offering a free basic program. After 7 days of inquiries to get a comparison list of features Masters vs Standard, and utterly obtuse non-responses, I can only conclude that this company uses robots across its sales and support department(s). They offer 2 versions: Masters, Standard. Slow but served my needs, so I wanted to buy. I downloaded trial WavePad for some basic MP3 work. at the least you could be repeatedly billed for such features. Don't know what might happen to the free edition if you use the in-app purchase of additional features. If you read NCH's Trustpilot posts, they link to their free bare-bones edition (for noncommercial use) which does not expire, unlike the trial version which fully expires (inability to save your edit in original format) within 14 days. If you choose not to purchase the WavePad Master's Edition license upgrade at the end of the free trial period, the advanced features will be disabled but the standard WavePad features will continue to work." This is inaccurate. The *free* version of WavePad has the additional features of WavePad Master's Edition enabled for a 14-day free *trial*. Aim for a larger, more well-known company instead! As said before, i wouldn't recommend this to anyone. This shows it has happened before and even though people report it, they don't change a thing. Apparently, I'm not the only one who was experienced this, cause there are many other people who have reported the same problem. That was not the case, and now i have to buy the same software again! I can't get the old version back now, and the registration code i got for the old version, doesn't work anymore. I installed it, thinking that the updates were free given i bought a lifetime use. ![]() As said before, the software crashed and when i tried to open it again, there was a new version for me to install. You can't have bigger project (more than 10 tracks) in the software, because then it starts to lag like crazy and becomes really slow. I was recently mixing a song, when it crashed. Easy to use and works fine (even though i couldn't get VST's og midi to work). It's easy to use and that's why i chose it. ![]() Mixpad Multritrack Mixer I have used the Mixpad Multitrack Mixer for about a year now. ![]()
